2008 promises to be a big year in sports, first with the European Cup in early summer, followed by the Olympic Games in August. For those who wish to see all the best games and finals in the hottest competitions, the time to gear up is now. The optimized TV software TerraTec HomeCinema makes catching sports broadcasts on TV even more convenient and enjoyable. Finding sports events is easy with the electronic program guide (EPG), an especially helpful tool for Olympia with so many events taking place at night. The computer automatically boots at the beginning of the broadcast and shuts down at the end of the event to save power. The Boss Is Coming! function comes in very handy at the office: If one’s supervisor swings by while a European Cup match is on, the viewer can minimize the entire application, mute the audio, and activate the time-shift function with a single THC key combination. When the boss moves on again, the viewer can resume watching game at the point of interruption, and never miss a goal!
THC also turns the computer into a powerful video recorder with manual or remote control (even via Internet or mobile phone). Alongside very practical multi-tuner support, it provides picture-in-picture functionality, allowing viewers to watch two games simultaneously on one screen.
