Grabster AV 450 MX, the latest offering from the Nettetal-based multimedia vendor TerraTec, is a convenient gateway to the world of digital video. A compact solution housed in a high-quality aluminum chassis, this external USB video converter features real hardware acceleration, gold-plated inputs, and a full set of cords including a SCART adapter. It connects camcorders, DVD players, sat receivers, video recorders, and other signal sources equipped with analog video outputs to any PC or notebook. The MAGIX Movies on DVD TerraTec Deluxe Edition software application is also part of the package, enabling users to record, cut, archive, and burn videos to DVD quickly and easily on their computers. Priced at 129 euros , Grabster A 450 MX is slated for release in late November.
Sporting composite, S video, and stereo audio inputs, Grabster AV 450 MX provides connectors for all common signal sources’ output formats. A USB 2.0 port sends audio and video to the PC to enable real-time copying. Videos are recorded direct to hard disk in DVD-compliant MPEG format. Users can then create custom menus on the DVD and cut out annoying advertising breaks. And 720 x 576 pixels video resolution guarantees premium-quality images.
