Customer-friendly products that work great and come with a full set of features for the digital lifestyle - this is the premise for a new product line by TerraTec Electronic, a company specializing in TV cards. Slated for March/April launch and designed as a real all-in-one package, the new line bears the TerraTec brand name. Developed and designed in Germany, it offers premium-grade value-add with high-quality components, a comprehensive software package featuring full HDTV support, 36 months warranty with lifelong technical support, a sophisticated design, and environmentally sustainable packaging. While many other manufacturers confront the user with a confusing multiplicity of standards, software, and functions, this is a genuine TerraTec-branded product designed for to bring television to the computer with unprecedented ease of use and convenience.
The first wave of this new line will see the launch of five products - TerraTec T3 (a DVB-T stick), TerraTec T5 (a dual DVB-T stick with diversity function), and TerraTec H5 (a hybrid stick for DVB-T, DVB-C, analog TV and radio), as well as TerraTec H7 (DVB-T and DVB-C) and TerraTec S7 (DVB-S / 2-Box) for pay TV subscribers with a common interface.
Housed in elegant black enclosures, all these new TerraTec offerings are future-proof. Consumers need not worry about the operating system or accessories - all products are cross-platform versions; that is, they run on PCs and Macs. What’s more, they support the active Linux community. Other key features include full HDTV support and Dolby Digital. As soon as the content goes on air, consumers can enjoy the future of TV on every standard notebook or desktop computer with utmost convenience. The lean application is also optimized for netbooks. And every buyer receives an extensive set of accessories providing everything he or she needs to get started now. This includes a printed manual (in German). All products are covered by a 36-month warranty and free support (upon registration). The drivers and software – also developed in Germany - come on an included DVD. Regular automatic updates via Internet ensure full compatibility. TerraTec brainstormed this line with the environment in mind: These products ship in a reusable sheet-metal box.
Walter Grieger, Managing Partner of TerraTec Electronic GmbH, points out the customer’s benefit and value: “We want to cater more to the premium segment by offering quality products with excellent components.
