Offering Internet Radio with 10,000+ Stations Worldwide, an iPod Docking Station, FM Radio, and a USB Port
A simple yet brilliant concept has all but reinvented radio! Courtesy of direct Internet access, listeners can now enjoy any of more than 10,000 radio stations worldwide at home, as easily as dialing up a program on a conventional radio! Stations are sorted by genre or language in the customary manner, making it very easy for users to find the broadcasts that interest them most. Priced at 299 euros, NOXON iRadio for iPod will ship in May.
Enjoying the benefits of Internet radio has never been so easy - simply connect the new NOXON iRadio for iPod to a power supply and router. Internet access via the DSL router is wireless, so the only prerequisites are a WLAN network - ideally a router with a wireless access point - and a broadband Internet service such as flat rate DSL. A classic FM tuner is also part of the package, enabling listeners to enjoy conventional, non-web broadcasts. NOXON iRadio for iPod does more than merely beam radio stations from Asia, Africa, Australia, and America into users’ homes. It also affords users access throughout the house to collections of songs archived on the home computer’s hard disk or on network attached storage (NAS) disks. Elgato’s EyeConnect software connects NOXON to the Mac world.
Of course, the device is able to render protected music content via Microsoft DRM10. What’s more, NOXON even offers users the freedom that comes with mobility. It offers diverse and flexible interfaces with line and USB ports that connect to mobile devices such as USB hard disks and memory sticks, external CD players, and mobile phones. NOXON also plays songs delivered from an iPod. The device automatically acknowledges the iPod as soon as an iPod Connector docks on, and responds to remote control commands. And how’s this for convenience: NOXON charges up the iPod, ensuring it is ready to go mobile again!
Users can groove to great sound courtesy of a custom-tuned internal 5W speaker equipped with an equalizer, as well as analog and digital outputs that connect to home stereo systems. Other convenient features include a sleep timer, a large time-of-day display that is set automatically, and two independently adjustable alarm clocks with a free choice of favorite wake-up sounds or alarm tones.

These portals and services include Musicload Nonstop, which offers a selection of more than two million current songs, accessible around the clock and easily compiled in playlists! Classical.com brings classical music to NOXON, enabling users to pick their favorites from 100,000 masterpieces! And with a trial subscription to classical.com, the NOXON customer can download a free full-length piece of classical music. Mp3tunes.com is the virtual hard disk on the Internet for NOXON. Once users have uploaded their music archive, they can access it from anywhere in the world using NOXON and an Internet connection!
BeSonic.com is a service enabling newcomer bands from all over the world to present their offerings. Users are free to explore the site, discover tomorrow’s top artists, and enjoy Mood Radio. The latter caters to listeners’ taste by playing tracks according to personal preferences defined right on NOXON. Germany's international broadcast service Deutsche Welle also offers access to some of its media library content. This service provides the latest political and business news around the clock to foreign listeners as well as Germans abroad.
