The Cinergy Piranha is the very first TV card to feature reception of digital radio (DAB) and the cell phone TV of the future (T-DMB) on your computer. Some fifty years after the launch of FM, DAB is a genuine quantum leap for radio. Already available everywhere, the new standard offers excellent sound and many new services. The next stage in its development, called Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (T-DMB), can already be received using the Cinergy Piranha. Primarily used for transmitting video to cell phones, the outstanding feature of this technology is its use of highly efficient compression methods.

Perfect digital television viewing
Surely, the most interesting feature is the ability to receive free digital broadcast television (DTT). The Terratec Home Cinema software provided shows its top form in this situation, offering a wide variety of convenient functions. In addition to the usual features, such as timeshifting TV programs, an electronic program guide (EPG) and a digital video recorder, our system provides new applications that will quickly become features you cannot live without. For example, you can scan through current television listings via remote programming over the Internet, and you can program the system to record with just a click of the mouse. In addition, the TerraTec Home Cinema can also access the established tvtv.de service—a year's subscription is included in the purchase price. The computer boots up from standby or sleep mode precisely when the chosen television show begins and then saves it on your hard drive automatically. It's even easier to record using the electronic program guide, or directly, while a program is in progress. Just press the corresponding button on the remote control.
