Software for Mac and Windows PC
Software developed in Germany for Windows PC (TERRATEC Home Cinema) and Mac (Elgato EyeTV Lite) allow the TerraTec S7 to be used everywhere. Both are simple to use, but are also full of options for optimal configuration to your needs. Time-shifted television, manual and scheduled recording in lossless quality on hard disk, electronic programme guide (EPG) and teletext plus many other interesting functions deliver a fully new television experience. Whenever you wish you can, for instance, quickly and effortlessly switch between a Windows system in the office and a mobile MacBook.

Full compatibility for versatile use
The TERRATEC S7 runs on Windows XP (from Service Pack 3), Windows Vista (from Service Pack 2), Windows 7 and as well as on Mac from Version OSX 10.5.8 Additionally, there is active support in the Linux community (no technical support from TERRATEC).

DVB-S / S2: ultimate variety from outer space
At the moment, satellite television is the most frequently used and normally free method to receive hundreds of programmes from throughout the world in Germany and many other European countries. A satellite dish and digital LNB of the types sold for years are all that is required. Other than the TERRATEC S7, no other equipment is necessary to receive the digital signals, the discreet USB box replaces the normally used settop box and digital receiver.

Receive and record encoded programmes
Even encoded programmes (such as Premiere) are very easy to receive, and they can even be recorded. After all, the TERRATEC S7 comes with an integrated Common Interface (CI) slot. A Conditional Access Module (CAM) must be bought and the smart card from the pay TV provider must be inserted in this module, which is then inserted into the CI slot. Nothing else is required to allow you to use the pay TV contract you entered into also on your computer.
