TV and radio on the Eee PC

Television and radio on Eee PC? No problem. Turns the popular notebook instantly into an entertainment machine with a Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS FM from TerraTec. All analogue (cable and antenna) and digital (DVB-T/TNT/Freeview) programmes can be received, as well local FM radio. The use of the driver and the software is legally valid, the reception of TV and radio already free.

The installation of the required drivers is simple - and will soon be replaced with an installation package, which includes all the necessary applications. Initially an active Internet connection is needed, also an Eee PC without additional programs and of course the Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS FM.

Installation instructions:

Installation for a clean default Eee PC:
open a console by pressing ctrl-alt-t
start with an unplugged device
type:
$ wget mcentral.de/empia/installer.sh
$ chmod 777 installer.sh
$ ./installer.sh
- reboot -

After a restart you´ll find new icons for analog, DVB-T (TNT/Freeview) and radio in the menu with the players. The software players Kaffeine (digital) or tvtime (analog) allows the viewing and recording in a window or full-screen mode, and much more. Have fun!
