Question 1
My Remote Control does not work.

Answer 1

Question 2
Is it possible to use the Remote Control with other products like a CD-Player or a TV?

Answer 2
No. The Remote Control only works with the Remote Control Editor software included in the TERRATEC Home Cinema. It is possible to program the software but not the Remote Control itself.


Question 3
Is it possible to use the TERRATEC Home Cinema with a Remote Control of a different product?

Answer 3
If the Remote Control is developed for the use with PC´s and capable of simulating keyboard commands, it is possible to use it with the TERRATEC Home Cinema. (for further informations please read the manual of the 'TERRATEC Home Cinema' Software / Remote Control Editor).


Question 4
No / not all channels were found after running a scan.

Answer 4
In this case you could try to import a channel list from the Internet in order to exclude the channel scan as a possible error source. Please open the Channel Editor to imprt the list.
( Start → (All) Programs → TERRATEC → TERRATEC Home Cinema → Tools )

Click on Data → Import channels → import channels from a FTP-Server
Now choose DVB-S signal, a satellite to scan for and you could enable the option ''Delete all channels before import''. Proceed with 'Ok or Next' and close the Channel Editor.

If you now start the TERRATEC Home Cinema, you will have the imported channels at your disposal and could also add the missing channels with the Channel Editor as you please.


Question 5
I am able to select HD channels from the channel list, but when doing no picture gets displayed.

Answer 5
The reason for that could be, that the H.264 codec (required for HD TV!)is not installed. In case you did not enter an Upgrade Key during the setup of the TERRATEC Home Cinema software, this component will not be included in the installation process. Inside the package of the product, you will find a postcard with the required Upgrade Key referred to.

The next step is to simply run the setup once more and then at one stage you can activate an option which enables you to enter the key - "Yes I want to enter a serial number or check a serial number". Then enter the key in the intended input field.

Question 6
The TV picture is displayed with interruptions and / or green artefacts. Something is jamming the sound signal.

Answer 6
In most cases these problems can be pinpointed to the USB ports along with the driver that is currently installed. Normally it helps to install the Microsoft Standard PCI to USB driver.
(Our experience with the performance of this particular driver is that the full bandwidth was supplied on a stable level)
