Question 1
My Remote Control does not work.

Answer 1

Question 2
Is it possible to use the Remote Control with other products like a CD-Player or a TV?

Answer 2
No. The Remote Control only works with the Remote Control Editor software included in the TERRATEC Home Cinema. It is possible to program the software but not the Remote Control itself.



Question 3
Is it possible to use the TERRATEC Home Cinema with a Remote Control of a different product?

Answer 3
If the Remote Control is developed for the use with PC´s and capable of simulating keyboard commands, it is possible to use it with the TERRATEC Home Cinema. (for further informations please read the manual of the 'TERRATEC Home Cinema' Software / Remote Control Editor).



Question 4
I cannot start a channel scan.

Answer 4
Please check under "Device" (first entry in the settings of the TERRATEC Home Cinema under 'Scan') if your product is selected. In case you get a message like"Device turned off / No Device available" the TERRATEC H7 is not connected to the PC or the Driver for the device is not installed correctly.

Question 5
No / not all channels were found after running a scan.

Answer 5
Please download and install the latest version of the TERRATEC Home Cinema Software from our website and then go to Settings and choose under Scan -> Region All or Your Country.

Make sure that the antenna is connected properly and that you receive a sufficient DVB-T signal.

If still no channels were found after scanning, the signal is probably insufficient. The antenna included in the package is made for regions with a strong DVB-T signal and fact is that all DVB-T receiver need a sufficient signal for a satisfying result. In case you are living in an area with a weak signal, you will need an active antenna (with own power supply) or a roof aerial.



Question 6
The TV picture is displayed with interruptions and / or green artefacts. Something is jamming the sound signal.

In most cases these problems can be pinpointed to the USB ports along with the driver that is currently installed. Normally it helps to install the Microsoft Standard PCI to USB driver.
(Our experience with the performance of this particular driver is that the full bandwidth was supplied on a stable level)

Question 7
Can I connect an active antenna to the TERRATEC H7?

If the antenna has a separate power supply you can use it with the TERRATEC H7. The USB ports are not able to supply the antenna with enough power so that wouldn´t work.



Question 8
Where can I find the serial number referred during the installation process of TERRATEC Home Cinema?

Answer 8
In general a correct installation of your product does not require the entry of a serial number. Customers who purchased a product from the TERRATEC Series already have the full version of the TERRATEC Home Cinema Software with all features and functions. Owners of a product from the Cinergy Series could buy an upgrade for the software through our Online Shop, then use the serial number submitted to unlock the features.

The serial number on the CD case is for the included Mac Software EyeTV Lite from Elgato. If you do not have the cd cover anymore, you can get a new key through our webseite.

I installed the latest driver and software and read the documentation but my problem still exists.
