Xtreme Computing´s opinion about the Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS:
Another excellent bit of kit from TerraTec
Now we have one of the latest tuners out The Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS aimed at notebook users. This device is only slightly larger than a portable memory stick and picks up both analogue a digital tv, although it only supports Digital terrestrial and not digital satellite and cable. This was pretty impressive due to its size and I could not fault the device itself. I was impressed with the cyberlink software as it is basically MCE but with slight differences as this means that all you notebook users that want a Media center laptop could save your self´s a huge chunk of money with this device.. Everything worked well. Another excellent bit of kit from TerraTec.

Hexus´s opinion about the Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS:
Stellar job
Terratec has done a stellar job cramming the functionality it has into such
a small device. There's a surprising amount of connectivity coming from the
tuner, thanks to the provided cabling. This isn't the cheapest TV tuner on
the market. However, we're not aware of a USB2.0 model that smaller and able
to receive DVB-T and analogue signals. If you need a compact, easy-to-use TV
tuner with support for DVB-T, we'd say this little number is well worth
considering.

Pocket-lint´s opinion about the Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS:
This is top notch
We are amazed that a company has managed to make a television tuner this small. Better still, because it connects to the USB2.0 socket there is no need for a clunky power charger and that ultimately means you can throw this in your bag with out the worry of taking up loads of space. For the on the road traveller it means you can catch a cheeky episode of Neighbours in the car. For those not so upwardly mobile, if you are short of space or just need to record television for screen grabs and the like, this is top notch.

PC Plus´ (Spain) opinion about the Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS:
Perfection in your TV
With a size relatively bigger than a USB memory card, this Terratec product is a complete TV receiver that offers not only analog or digital reception but it also includes an hybrid support that will allow you to handle the transition between the two technologies without spending a lot. Its given extras offer all what you need for editing videos or burning DVDs. So that, it s a very interesting USB option, and however it is a hybrid system, it has a size that makes it to be a reference of portable TDT.

PC Pro´s opinion about the Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS:
Meets all expectations
TerraTec´s hybrid stick meets all expectations you can have on such a TV card. Installation is easy and the full version of Power Cinema 4 covers all wishes regarding a good software. The stick has been used on a laptop for hours but still didn´t show any heating different from all its competitors.
Verdict: Best in Test

What Satellite and Digital TV magazine´s opinion about the Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS:
The XS deserves kudos
Altough it will happily function when attached to a PC, the Hybrid is primarily designed for laptop users. To this end, it comes with own mini-aerial attachment equipped with a magnetic base. It´s a reassuringly weighty little devide that plugs into a free USB 2.0 slot on your computer. At one end sits a USB input that can be used to plug in the supplied AV cable, which has S-video and composite connectors for recording from external sources, such as a camcorder or VCR. A remote eye attachment is included for receiving commands from the supplied remote control, while a separate UHF lead can be used to connect a convetional aerial feed. The USB XS deserves kudos for general ease of use and for including the excellent PowerCinema software.
Verdict: Silver Award

PC World magazine UK´s opinion about the Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS:
A lot of useful features
The Terratec Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS is a hybrid digital/analogue tuner. The main viewing application is Cyberlink Power Cinema 4, a home-theatre application. Although it comes at a premium price, the Terratec CinergyT USB XS has a lot of useful features. It also is dual-format, plus it’s the only tuner in the test with an A/V breakout and the software includes a DVD burner.
Verdict: Editor´s Choice
