Easy to set up

After a few simple configurations we were ready to, quite literally, rock. The iRadio quickly found and displayed internet radio stations displaying the country of origin and genre on the blue and yellow screen in the right-hand corner of the device. There were some good stations available and it´s possible to save up to five of them as favourites, accessed by buttons on the unit´s front panel. In addition to internet radio, the NOXON can also stream MP3 and WMA music from the PC into any room it is placed in.

Verdict: A wireless device that is surprisingly easy to set up, with good sound quality.

Conclusion

The Noxon iRadio is great for anyone who's bored with the choice of stations available on ordinary FM or even DAB radios. It's not as easy to use and configure as an ordinary radio, but you don't need to be an expert, and the ability to listen to over 2,500 stations as well as podcasts and your own MP3s streamed from your PC make it worth the investment.

The NOXON iRadio is a smart media player which simply works, streaming free internet radio using WLAN or Wired network is its key selling point and it excels here, the ability to play back media from your PCs is the icing on the cake.

Especially older generations will have to be convinced to ditch their trusty AM/FM radio in favor of a internet enabled version, younger generations which rarely use AM/FM radio will find this latest TerraTec product quite innovative, allowing them to enjoy the nostalgic radio news in the morning, mixed with podcasts and streaming of their favorite music, over their wireless network.
